ABOUT BROADSIDE:
SINCE 1994, we have helped independent artists, businesses and advertising agencies with a wide range of recording, mastering and duplication projects. From the beginning, it's been our goal to provide high quality recording at an affordable price.
In Fall 2003, we moved to our new location in downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan. The new facility enables us to provide all of our services in one place. In addition, the recording areas are MUCH larger and more comfortable than before.
We take comfort in knowing that 99% of our business stems from referrals and word-of-mouth advertising. At Broadside, the emphasis is put on comfort and customer service, not sterile "office" environments that make the client uncomfortable and inhibit creativity.

Mike Roche: Musician for 20 years (guitar, bass, drums). Recording Engineer 12 years. Played in many bands, toured with one of them. Gained experience as a studio musician while living in S.F., Ca. Opened studio in 1994. Credits: Too many to list here (see client list).

We help promote the artists that record at BROADSIDE in the following ways:
1.Mailers. We mail to our database full of bands (and others interested in independent music) on a regular basis. Every mailer includes news about our clients and their recording projects. Our database continues to grow...
2. Link exchanges. Add a link to BROADSIDE on your band site and we'll return the favor.
3. Our demo CD's. We burn selected BROADSIDE recordings on printed CD's and distribute them to local businesses and venues all over Michigan. The CD's are free to take for the hungry little music people out there and they're a great way for us to promote the studio and expose others to your music. No... there is no cost to clients included on the CD and we will ask permission before using your recording.
