Podcast Production

We can help you record, edit and publish your new podcast.

Why should you start a podcast?

Podcasts are a great way to establish yourself as a professional in your field no matter what it is. They’re an effective way to maintain ongoing relationships with your existing customers as well as obtaining new ones. Whether your goal is to have an impact locally, or worldwide, podcasts are a strong tool to incorporate in to your marketing mix.

One thing that makes podcasts different from other marketing methods is that you have an opportunity capture the listener’s attention for an extended period of time. Most listeners/subscribers will listen on their commute, while making dinner etc… from beginning to end. This gives you a chance to connect on an entirely different level than a 15 – 60 second spot on radio, TV, or social media. Listeners are in a completely different mindset when they hit “play” on your podcast. They’re ready to hear what you have to say. Most likely, they’re someone who needs your services now, will in the near future, or they’ve used you before and will need you again soon. The podcast helps you stay “top of mind” so when they do, YOU get the call.

Will I see an immediate rush of new business?

Not likely. The value is in the long-term rewards.

Can I make money selling ads and sponsorships on my podcast?

Sure. You have to reach the point where you have a good amount of subscribers for this to happen. In the early stages, we encourage you to offer small ad spots, or maybe a “guest feature” to some of your business, or referral partners. If you’re a Realtor, maybe this is your preferred mortgage company, builder, electrician etc… You can have them as a guest on your podcast for a small fee to help absorb production costs. This isn’t necessary to get started, just an idea if cost is an obstacle for you to get started.

They last.

Unlike traditional ad buys, podcasts will remain available for current and potential clients to listen to for as long as you want them to be. You’ll find yourself directing clients to your podcast library on more than you may think. They will serve as a lasting resource of information. Further, they’re always there for potential clients to discover through searches on related topics.

What do I need to get started?

A name for the podcast and an outline for at least 2 episodes is a great start. The length of your podcast and release schedule are totally up to you. Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly are all OK,  but consistency is key. 30 minute minimum episodes are a good target. Many are an hour, or more. If you have 2 episodes ready, it’s likely we could at least record both episodes in one session. This isn’t required, it just makes sense for maximum productivity during a scheduled session. We can release the first 2 episodes according to your set schedule while you’re writing the next two. *Most podcasts include an “intro” which is a shorter episode that introduces listeners to you, what you do and the general idea o the podcast.  Feel free to contact us to discuss getting started in more detail.

Can I record episodes myself, then send them to you to edit, master and distribute?

Yes! In addition, we’d be happy to provide help in getting the best possible sound quality. Equipment, acoustic treatment, technical audio coaching etc…

What happens after we record an episode?

After recording is finished, we’ll edit and send you a proof for review. Once it’s finished to your liking, we’ll publish for streaming to all major podcast outlets. If you wish, we can simply provide the files necessary for you, or your marketing department to publish yourself.
